ANN COOKE

Ann Headshot_2

Having been a keen amateur gardener for many years, Ann started writing the Green City Gardens blog in 2017. The blog is primarily focussed on the benefits of urban greening and her own experiences of gardening in small spaces. Writing the Green City Gardens blog led to commissions to write features for local and national publications. She has completed qualifications in both garden design and horticulture and enjoys applying the knowledge gained from these, both in her own garden and allotment, and to the writing that she does about gardens. She believes that having a good understanding of, and a passion for the subject serves to elevate the quality of her writing. She collaborates with The Cheshire Garden to write blog posts and web copy about the work of the business including profiles of its design projects.

‘I have collaborated with The Cheshire Garden for a number of years and always found it to be a productive working relationship. The business works on a wide variety of projects which means that my input as a copywriter is also interesting and enjoyable. The briefs provided are clear and follow-up communication is always timely and straight-forward which makes the process of collaboration easy.’
